No payment upfront. Nothing goes live until you're completely happy. Here's exactly how it works.
Complete your brief
Our brief form asks everything we need to get started - your business name, what you do, which package you're after, any domain you have in mind, and a few design questions. There's no lengthy questionnaire; we've kept it short on purpose.
The brief is the foundation of your site. The more you tell us about your business and what makes it different, the better we can reflect that in the design. That said, if you're not sure about something - colours, structure, anything - just leave it blank and we'll make a recommendation.
Once we receive your brief, we'll confirm receipt within a few hours and let you know if we need anything else before we start. No payment required at this stage - not even a deposit.
We build it
This is where we do the work. We design your site from scratch - no templates, no page-builder shortcuts. Every page is written in clean code, optimised for speed, and built to look right on every screen size.
We create your Cloudflare account and register your domain there, and set up your Netlify hosting account. Both are created in your name from day one. We configure everything and deploy to a staging environment so you can review the finished site before it goes anywhere near a live URL.
Most builds are completed within 48 hours. More complex projects, or those waiting on assets from you, may take a little longer. We'll always give you a realistic timeline upfront.
You review and approve
We'll send you a staging link - a live, clickable version of your site on a temporary URL. Take your time with it. Share it with people you trust. Check it on your phone. There's no rush.
One round of amendments is included in every build. Give us a consolidated list of changes and we'll implement them without question, typically within 24 hours. Nothing moves forward until you're completely satisfied with what you see.
If you're not happy, we want to know. We'd rather get it right than push something live that doesn't represent your business properly. We only ask you to approve when you genuinely mean it.
We send your invoice
Once you've signed off the site, we'll send you a secure payment link via Stripe. You can pay by card in a couple of minutes - no account needed, no faff.
We only invoice at this point - not before. There's no deposit, no upfront payment, and no risk to you. If for any reason you decide not to proceed after reviewing the site, you walk away owing nothing. We accept that risk because we're confident in the work.
As soon as payment clears, we move straight to going live. Stripe payments are instant, so there's usually no delay.
Go live
With payment confirmed, we push your site live. As part of every build we create and configure your domain and hosting accounts for you - a Cloudflare account for your domain and a Netlify account for your hosting. Both are set up in your name, using your email address, from day one. We add ourselves as a collaborator to manage the build and launch, then remove ourselves completely once you are live and happy.
This means the domain and hosting accounts belong to you from the moment we create them, not just once we hand them over. If you ever decide to manage things yourself, move to a different host, or simply want full control, there is nothing to transfer and no dependency on us. Your Cloudflare login gives you your domain. Your Netlify login gives you your site files. You can be entirely independent in minutes.
We also connect and verify your Google Search Console, submit your sitemap, and set up your Google Business Profile. You receive a full handover email with every login, a plain-English guide to each account, and instructions for making basic updates yourself.
If you are on the Launch, Shop, or Bespoke package with no ongoing management, this handover is the end of our involvement unless you choose to come back to us. Your accounts, your site, your business.
Why no payment upfront?
We know that handing money to someone you've never worked with before takes trust - especially for a small business where every pound matters. So we don't ask for it.
We build your site, you review it, you request any changes, and only once you're genuinely happy do we send the invoice. If you decide not to go ahead after seeing the site, you don't owe us anything. We lose the work - that's a risk we accept, because it keeps the process completely fair.
In practice, clients rarely walk away - because the sites we build are built to brief and we don't cut corners. But we'd rather prove that to you with the work than ask you to take it on faith up front.
What if I need changes after reviewing?
Every build includes one round of amendments - a consolidated list of changes you'd like made after reviewing the staging version. We'll implement these without question and turn them around within 24 hours.
If you're on a Visibility or Growth monthly plan, content updates are included as part of your monthly service. Need a new page, updated pricing, or a fresh section? Just let us know.
More significant changes - additional pages, structural redesigns, new functionality - may be quoted separately, but we'll always be upfront about that before doing anything.
What about after launch?
The Launch package is a one-off build. You own everything and can take it anywhere. But for most small businesses, getting found on Google requires consistent work after launch.
